Vento is a motorcycle riding risk guidance app. It helps riders understand weather-related riding risk based on conditions such as wind, rain, visibility, temperature, and possible ice risk.
Vento is designed as a local-first app. It does not require an account, login, cloud sync, or advertising profile.
Vento does not collect personal account information because the app does not use accounts or user profiles.
The app may use the following information to provide its core features:
Vento uses your location to calculate weather-based riding risk for your current area or selected route.
Location data is used for app functionality only. It is not used for advertising or tracking.
When weather information is requested, approximate coordinates may be sent to the weather data provider in order to retrieve local weather conditions.
Vento uses OpenWeatherMap to retrieve weather information such as wind, temperature, precipitation, visibility, and forecast data.
OpenWeatherMap may receive location coordinates or searched location information when the app requests weather data.
Vento does not control OpenWeatherMap’s privacy practices. You can review OpenWeatherMap’s own privacy policy on their website.
Vento may allow users to enter their own OpenWeatherMap API key in the app settings.
